Our cardiovascular homografts are used in surgeries for aortic stenosis, aortic atresia, pulmonary atresia, aortic root stenosis, pulmonary root stenosis, pulmonary reconstruction, hypoplastic left heart, right-ventricular outflow-tract repair, truncus arteriosus, double-outlet single ventricle (SVDO), and especially in the Ross procedure. As human tissue, cardiovascular homografts carry properties closest to the patient's own tissue — they are the grafts closest to the patient's original anatomy and have the same mechanical properties as the patient's native valve. They cause no issues during sternal closure. Thanks to their fibroblast content, they offer growth potential in pediatric patients and long-term durability in young adults. They deliver superior hemodynamic performance with central, unobstructed blood flow. They require neither immunosuppression nor anticoagulation, making them ideal in women who plan to give birth. Without any rigid structure, they have no negative effect on contraction. Gradients are near zero. They are the only life-saving option in patients with native or prosthetic-valve endocarditis and root abscess.
